A lovingly restored and cosy one bedroom holiday cottage set on a working Upland farm. With a king-size bed and plenty of space for up to two travel cots and up to two well behaved dogs. 

Only an hour from the M4 and an hour and a half from Cardiff Airport, The Cottage is a perfect base for exploring far and wide.

Local towns include Talgarth (1.5miles), Brecon (9miles), Hay-On-Wye (7miles), Crickhowell (12miles) and Abergavenny (18miles) and are all well worth a visit.

Breathtaking Views

Located along the border of Bannau Brycheiniog National Park and The Black Mountains, The Cottage is the perfect base to explore some of the most beautiful scenery in the country.

Set on a working Upland farm, in one of only 7 Dark Sky Reserves in the UK with stunning views. 

There are fantastic walking routes from the door, both across our 400 acre farm and far beyond.

Step Back in Time

At over 400 years old and originally a cow shed, The Cottage is a perfect mix of period features and modern luxuries making for a truly unique stay.

Cosy and Comfortable

Come in and make yourself at home in the spacious open plan living and kitchen area. There is plenty of room to stretch out, a real log fire, comfy sofa and underfloor heating.

The bedroom is open and airy with a king size bed and anti-allergen bedding, the blackout curtains make lazy mornings snuggled up in bed just a little bit more cosy.

The bathroom is the perfect place to wash away your cares with a walk-in shower and full size bath.

First Impressions

Come in and make yourself at home in the spacious open plan living and kitchen area. The kitchen has all you need to prepare a slap up feast or the information pack has a selection of menus from some fantastic local takeaways.

With plenty of room to stretch out, a real log fire, comfy sofa and underfloor heating The Cottage is the perfect place to unwind. We have a selection of books to pique your interest and board games if you are feeling competitive.


Upstairs the bathroom features a spacious walk-in shower, sink, toilet, full size bath and a selection of complementary locally produced toiletries. All of the water feeding The Cottage comes from our own spring which makes a hot bath after a long day exploring feel even better!

Outside there is a private courtyard with a table, chairs and firepit - perfect for making the most of long summer nights or keeping you warm while you watch wonderful winter sunsets.

Children and Pets

You are welcome to bring up to two children under 5 years old to stay at The Cottage at no additional charge, we have two travel cots or you are welcome to bring your own travel beds - Please let us know when booking so we can make sure you have everything you need.


Well behaved dogs are also welcome but we would appreciate you not letting them on any of the soft furnishings.


We are more than happy to provide any items you may need to make your stay more comfortable such as travel cots, stair gate, highchair, iron/ironing board, extra pillows/blankets etc
